Laid before 180 days, BUT ...

One small detail I forgot to mention. I only have till february 2004 for my H1 (that's 6 years).. So I don't have enough time to start a new GC process. If I transfer H1 to company B .. that will just confirm to INS that I have left Company before the 180 days.

Laid before 180 days, BUT ...

Company A has laid me off before 180 days of concurrent filing.. Because this is before the 180 day of concurrent filing, this will totally screw up my chances on the off chance that I don't get RFE for I140 approval [i have already received my EAD 60 days after filing]. Company B is...

What if you are laid off before 180 days.

What if you are laid off before 180 days.

I did concurrent filing, so my I-140 has not been approved. If the new job is in a different state, can I be paid less, because it's a cheaper city ?

I-485 filed for 60 days, received EAD, but got laid off.

Sorry Jaxen. I meant should 1. I sit around until the 180 days have passed so that I can technically use the EAD (or transfer H1) 2. Should I use the EAD now to get a job 3. Transfer my H1 to a new company The reason I ask, is if I do get a job ASAP (and use 2 or 3), then INS will...

I-485 filed for 60 days, received EAD, but got laid off.

i-140 not cleared because it's a concurrent filing. Is it better to find a job like yesterday, or just sit and wait and see what happens.

What if you are laid off before 180 days.

So because I filed concurrently, it's more of a grey area. ughh..:(

What if you are laid off before 180 days.

I am sorry, but I saw this as the footer text for this section, but could not find the answer within. Can anyone summarize for me. I am in this exact situation, although I did get the EAD (60 days since conurrent filing) ? I have only until FEB 2004 for my current H1B (6 years). The company...

Received EAD, i-485 in for 60 days, layed off ??

Thanks, I do see some light at the end of the tunnel. I was told that I could not use the EAD, because 180 days has not passed since the application was sent in. Also if I get a new job and do transfer H1B, that that could also complicate things. This is soooo confusing.. but thanks for...

Received EAD, i-485 in for 60 days, layed off ??

I was wondering if I am out of luck, and what my options are. Facts: a> H1 (6 years) expires in Feb 2004 b> i485 has been submitted for 60 days c> Received EAD card d> Got Laid off.. Can I use the card for work ? Do I still need to do an H1 for a next employer ? Is this GC...

I-485 filed for 60 days, received EAD, but got laid off.

Is this EAD valid, can it be used to work ? Should I transfer my H1 instead of using EAD ? The company plans to hire me back, does that make a difference ? Thanks
