According my knowledge, 7th year extension of H1 will be invalidated as soon as there is any decision on 485 (either approval or denial). So if you this is H1 extension before 6 year then it makes sense to go ahead with it but 7th year extension and EAD are almost the same. Consult a lawyer!!
