    How did you get the inof about when FBI start your case? What phone number to call? I called NVC, the ladies there always told me "it is Administrative Processing" and refuse to tell me when it started FBI checking. Any advise appreciated.

    "Administrative Processing" is simply refer to work-in-progress at NVC including waiting security check result from FBI. Very likely, the day you called the status is not updated in their computer yet.

    The first Q is no for the same time as you get GC, but your family can apply later on when you decide to be a "permanent" GC. I don't know the answer for the rest. Good luck
