I was actually quite shocked to receive it in such a short period. You seldom associate efficiency with BCIS.
Best of luck to everyone still waiting for approval or for plastic cards.
Should not be a problem. By the time my greencard was approved I was making around 35% more than stated in my LC and infact was making atleast 20% more at the time of filing for my I485. I think it is more of a problem if you are making substantially less than the amount stated in the LC.
Here is the web address of the person who was one of the displaced workers at Siemens and started this movement against the L-1 visa.

It certainly looks like a bunch of the Indian firms had been busy misusing the L1 visa. Its about time someone does something...
Reliance,
I had a similar problem with my AVM and online messages. It stayed stuck on "A fingerprinting notice has been sent out on 4/1/2002....." till my I485 got approved a couple of months back(The message finally changed then!) so don't worry about it. The message being updated has no...
Pork,
It takes a lot more than a few angry and rude responses to derail my train! Truth is it was a fairly futile argument that I ended up indulging in with some of the members. After numerous postings referring back to the same common agenda that I am not somebody who wants to pass judgment...
EADDesperateGuy,
Bud, nothing to worry about. Hopefully your renewal will come through in time so there will not be any problems. In the case you don't get your EAD by 8/2/2003 you could take a leave of absence till the day your 90 days are up and then get an interim EAD. Please remember that...
Sniffer - Who is trying to determine right or wrong (about anything!!)????? When I used that analogy I was talking about my friend and his wife (refer my first posting). and just trying to say that I am not TRYING to pass judgement on my friend or his wife but just looking for an answer to a...
sniffer - Bud, this isn't my problem but that of a close friend. All I wanted was an objective answer to a question he asked me. To be truthful I don't know who is right or wrong in this situation the guy or the gal. If one of your close friend asked you a question and requested information...
detroitimmi - I am trying my best to help him realize that moving on amicably is the best situation for both of them. Time heals all wounds and this will be no different. I like level headed people and you sound like one. Out of curiousity where in India do you come from?
GcHttp404 - Bud, you...
detroitimmi - I totally agree with you that there are a lot of abusive relationships in similar situations since there is a amount of insecurity and dependence which can lead to a sense of power for the primary applicant. As the old saying goes "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts...
Silly Man - Bud, I think you make some very interesting points. The image of the US back home is so glamorized that anything for someone coming to this country through marriage for the first time could be a let down.
sacpat74,Silly Man - I think that getting into a relationship with a girl...
laborpain - You make some interesting points but I am sure you would agree that the decent thing would have been for her to bring the problems to the fore and if there were issues that couldn't be resolved go for a divorce gracefully with your conscience clear that you give it your best shot and...
COLOHIO - Bud, I suggest you work on your grammar and spellings before making any postings. This is an open forum for us desis to seek help on issues revolving around the greencard. So if you think there is something you can't give any helpful input on, you need to take a seat and chill instead...
Thanks for your replies everybody! Yes, this was an Indian girl and an indian couple at that. The whole thing is a little bizarre but what can you do? Life has a habit of dealing out a hand and all you can do is play it! I think it is natural for my friend to feel animosity in this situation but...
A friend of mine (main applicant) and his wife (derivative applicant)got there greencards a couple of weeks back. This monday out of the blue his wife told him that she wanted to file for a divorce and proceeded to do so. It obviously left my friend both shell shocked and used!! He brought the...
