Hello, My 485 has been pending from june2003 and pd is 2/1999. have EAD and Ap. Can i quit now, take some time off to find a new job(1 month) or do i need to have continuous empolyment? thanks

hi yes, i filed first in VSC and then went to Newark SC. You don't need an appt to go to the Newark service center (i did not get one). BUt ot be on the safe side get one, so that they don't use that as an excuse. Typically around 11pm or midnight they open a few slots for the next day. Hope...

hi went to newark service center at 8 am for emergency AP (family emergency). Took my EAC number for AP at VSC, 485 recipt and doctors note. The lady interviewed me for 45 mins and approved the emergency AP. Got the AP by 12 pm. Hope this helps. Holycow.

hi early morning is the best time. No idea how many AP's they issue per day. Once you go inside there is a separate window for AP's. good luck

hi.. be prepared for a grilling if you want an emergency AP. I don't know if they will give you one for business reasons, but there will if you have a serious family emergency. I got one during the first week of april for a family emergency.

Hi I sent a FOIPA request about 2 weeks ago and got a reply last week by mail. It says no records found...but name check still pending from Dec30 2004. Should I fax Mr. Hardy a request to expedite and will they expedite it?. Any suggesstions/experiences? Thanks.

Hi GCG I just got an email from FBI for my email sent on Nov1,2004. Basically said they have completed the name check for my wife and is pending for me.....When I talked to the VSC rep in DEC she said all the formalities were done and was waiting adjuication. Looks like she was just BSing...
