I have been on H-1B for over a year with my employer.
For the petition the LCA appropriate salary was $58K. My employer was offering me $63K. The amount written on the H-1B petition was $63K. I have since gotten a pay increase to $65K.
My company just did a company wide pay cut of 10%...

My company want to cut my hours, so my salary would go from $65K to $40K
So my company need to get a new LCA and then file an amendment. Can someone please define the 'amendment'?

Currently on H1B
My company is hitting some rough times and we have had layoffs.
I still have a job but it is pending on a new contract coming in.
Can I take unpaid vacation, does this leave me 'in-status'?
If I search for a new job while on unpaid vacation can the H1B transfer go...

I get my I-129 etc together and send to processing and await receipt. Am I correct in thinking that I cannot start...
Please help on what papers my employer should file....just the I-129 and 1-129H?

and I cannot start the new job until receipt from the INS, correct?
