Similar thing happened to me. Transferred from TSC to VSC local office (Still don't know what office) The only reason I could think of was my employer originally had offices there. Approved after 2 weeks. I know it is tough to be in that situation. Hoping you will be approved soon...

I submitted copies of I 551 stamp to our employers. That should do for now till you get your plastic card. Then give a copy of them as well.

You should be fine. I think you are in a better position than a lot of others who changed companies or been laid off and had to look for other jobs. You are not expected to rot in the same position because of processing inefficiencies and delays. So you should not worry much and be...

Just guessing... I think the reason may be that your residence address is in San Diego. Based on my experinence on these boards, it is mostly a good thing. As SD is processing June 2003 cases (ND or RD), your case would be approved on priority. So you will get approved soon. Good luck!

Courtesy copy OK at Stemmons Office.. Courtesy copy is OK. In the beginning of the approval notice, it is mentioned that you can "take this copy along with I 94.....". But no idea why the copy is called courtesy copy and why the caveat that "may not be used in lieu of official....blah blah"...

Not sure what the local office is. But approval notices came from VSC. Got passports stamped on 03/15/2004.

Thanks for your kind words. I got the transfer notice from TSC to ESC in VSC. Donno what ESC means. May be a local office under VSC. Looks like a compassionate soul from VSC approved my case. Still to get the approval notice. But I am still eager to see very old cases form TSC either...
