Thanks guys for the input.
In my case I did not try the AVM recently. But the online message said "processing complete".
From my friend's experience if online message got changed to "card ordered" it should indicate a date with the message. Normally that date will show on the plastic card...
I noticed that most of the discussion is on the pre-approval stage. Just in case for those who got approved but still follow the forum, how long does it take for you guys to get the plastic card.
In my case 9 months have passed. My lawyer has mentioned the re-stamping thing.
Anyway to...
Hi, Guys,
It should be OK for people to believe the theory of the co-relation between EAD expiration and I-485 approval, especially for those whose EAD will soon be expired. Since this will make people think positively, I had been one of them.
But let us consider one simple issue, if that...
In my case, I applied for EAD renew about one month before my I485 case got approved.
Then about one or two months after the I485 approval I got another letter from INS CSC mentioning that the EAD renew application was denied simply because the I485 case had been approved.
So I do not see...
tt tt:
Congratulations. It is really encouraging news.
Just to update you and those who are concerned about this spouse approval thing:
I called CSC twice last week. Until last night the AVM still case resumed for my wife's case.
But anyway congratulations to you two and enjoy your...
Only personal experience.
I went to do stamping with the courtesy copy and no question asked.
I went to the local serivce office specified on the notice. And I was asked about where I was living. However I also observed post on this board that people use notice from CSC to do stamping...
Chief Cook:
It is not that your old company filed I-485 and within 180 days you changed employer. But the case is that within 180days someone else acquired your old company. So you should be fine. I do not think you should either worry about amended I-140 or worry about AC-21.
As someone...
Congratulations.
But tt tt and SickofWait, I do not want to scare you guys. I am now in the same boat as you two.
My case was appproved mid August 2002 but my wife's case still says "fingerprint received and case resumed."
The JIT time has been far beyond my wife's case number. I asked...
Suppose the RFE issuing means that INS is doing something, let us say this is good news. Especially I noticed the date is Dec. 9th or 10th.
Hope this is good news for you assuming your employment is in good shape and in turn that means you are one step closer to the GC.
Good luck to you...
To LogX:
You do not need to give the full of your WAC number. Those are considered to be your confidential. Only the WAC-02-xxx will tell the receive date and works fine.
To NV2001:
Please update. I am in the same boat. At this moment my lawyer was reluctant to file the second level inquiry. She mentioned to me that since we received the first response (assigned to an officer) then we are supposed to wait a little longer. (50days already).
Gook luck to you...
To grassisgreen:
Thanks for the input and advice.
Anybody has idea how effective to contact a senator? Also since we received the "assigned to an officer" I guess we are supposed to wait a significant period of time before we contact senator.
Best Regards.
To grassisgreen:
Still no luck. The AVM and the online check still the same: "fingerprint received and case resumed".
Really no clue what to do. The lawyer mentioned that if we did not got response for the first fax inquiry then we may file the second level inquiry in 15 days (second level...
To NV2001:
Thanks for the input.
But it looked like that if got response to the first inquiry (my case says "assigned to an officier", some others got the "pending adjudication" which gave even less clue) and we can only wait.
Thanks Atri123. Very informative staff.
However after checking the document I noticed one thing.
For fax inquiry it gives the instruction on how to make the inquiry. However after the first inquiry all the following up procedures are based on the fact that no response was received.
For...
Thanks for the input. Please update if you get something from IIO. It is really a pain keep calling. Good luck.
By copy to Silly Man: you may want to change your login name. Several times I tried to send in reply to thank you for your advice. But it read weird "thanks for the advice from...
