Logging back here after a few months.
Congratulations to everyone who was successful.
Also best wishes to the ones who didn't make it in the end - hopefully you'll get another chance with DV or figure out another way to get your green card in the US. I was selected for DV2015, and didn't...
Mom has already answered all your questions, but I wanted to add a bit regarding 5). We were in a similar situation with me and my wife, with an approved I-140. As of now (July visa bulletin), Nov 2023 is the current date for EB2. When is your priority date? I'm assuming that you're close, hence...
Thank you very much!
I am not qualified enough to speculate on that particular issue, so I won't. However, one thing I have heard of is that our congresswoman's office in Seattle is very responsive regarding helping out with USCIS. If things get delayed further, you should try that avenue. Good...
Hello all.
Happy to report that we had our interview today, and it went well. My wife's the winner and I was her +1. The status shows new card being produced - so I'm guessing its safe to assume all is well.
Thanks to everyone in this forum and especially @Sm1smom and @SusieQQQ for your...
Hey. Ya, the USCIS status did change for us. And we got the letter a week after it said 'interview is scheduled'. Although, I remember reading in this forum that sometimes USCIS can send the letter directly without the status update.
I think so. I am not aware of any other method (other than calling them?). I'd be cautious though - would avoid a move if possible. But of course life happens and you can't hold off things forever also.
Thanks, this is helpful. I was so excited to see that status change but seems like my enthusiasm was a bit premature. Good luck and let us know when you receive the letter.
You can file for employment based I-140. No problem. We have also done this.
However, the queue is really long for eb2. So unless you're planning on doing eb1, it may be worth considering waiting a few more months to see how DV pans out for you. But of course, if its your employer's money and...
Any movement for you? Our case has moved to ready to be scheduled phase (Seattle FO). It says that they'll let us know soon when the interview will be - so eagerly waiting for that mail.
Also processing in Seattle. Did our biometrics on March 7th and had been wondering the same. Thanks for sharing. Looks like Seattle does things in batches and things haven't moved in a while.
As far as I understand it, there's nothing to 'file' in CP (unless you consider the DS-260, which of course, you can file well in advance). You just get an interview letter from the embassy when your turn comes, after you're current. Then you do your medical and go for the interview.
Usually...
Just to super double check here, the filing address, for fedex, for Washington is listed as such`here: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/all-forms/uscis-lockbox-filing-locations-chart-for-certain-family-based-forms
Even though, the address is in Tempe, this is still the Phoenix lockbox address right?
Hello all, I had some questions regarding a few questions from i-485.
1. In page 8, part 4 (7) it asks for Employer or school (current or most recent) and then in another box next to it Name of employer/company/school. I used the same entry for both of those. Not sure if I'm overthinking this...
