I would apply for her too. It is possible that by the time you have your interview, she will be nearly completed one year of study. With a re entry permit, she could enter with you and make a more permanent move once she has finished study. I would research this option further in order to keep...

I have found the opposite in regards to credit ratings in Australia. I came back to Australia after traveling and applied for a mobile plan, a credit card and leased a computer. So 3 applications for credit. Credit card was rejected because I had applied for credit 3 or more times in the one...

tantantan I saw your post in another thread. You are in a bit of trouble with the education. If you can find the Australian 2012 thread you will find the story of a guy who was refused in a similar situation to your own. I believe he had a diploma too. If your degree was finished at the time...

You may have issues with your education. Some Australian's have been able to show a degree in place of high school, but you may have an issue with a diploma. In 2012 there was one Australian who was rejected for not having year 12 but he had some form of diploma. The rules clearly state you...

It is usually 6 months. You have to enter while your medicals are still valid which is usually 6 months. Some people get their medicals done early and therefore don't have as much time to enter as others who get the medical done closer to the date. Of course, once you have entered the USA...

Most common is people messing up spelling of names, leaving things out or not writing names EXACTLY like they are on documents. Dates around the wrong way (Difference with AUS and US month, day etc) is one of the things too. These forms have to match all the documents you provide later

Getting the forms in early does not result in an early interview. The number you have already been issued depends on your interview date. Best to take your time with the form. Many people rush it and make errors that really mess things up for the interview.

The insurance is confusing because it says it will cover a certain amount of $$$ for treatment X etc. With no idea how much treatment X is, it is really confusing. I have planned to just have my travel insurance cover me until I start work, but I was given some good insurance links a few pages...

I just think they believe Australian's are not at risk of being a public charge. I am sure there is some kind of evidence or story behind their decision to not want financials.

Help please!AUSSIES! Q about need for passport/what happens if you're selected by DV LOTTERY

You wont need it straight away. First step is to download the forms and send them to the USA. Sending your forms in early doesn't change your case number. Your case number is issued when you are selected

I think your medical is only valid for 6 months, so they adjust the visa expiry to reflect that. Did you get your medical done early?
