No Title You can start working for the new company as soon as you receive the receipt of the H1 transfer. Do not bother about the visa. Once you get the H1 approval, apply for revalidation at St. Louis.- Prghosh

H4 transfer
A friend of mine has started to work for a new company. The company applied for the transfer of his H1. However, they did not apply for the transfer of his wife\'s H4. The previous H1 was cancelled by his previous employer. Is his wife\'s H4 still valid ? Does she have to apply for a H4 transfer... -

Re-Enter US with old H4
No Title Your wife can enter US as long as she has a valid H4 stamp. It does not matter which company you are currently working for. Even you do not need to get the new H1 stamped on your passport as long as the previous H1 stamp has not expired.
