Answer is yes if you enter legally into the US. As for supporting evidence I am not sure if they stamped your passport at POE, if they did that is the evidence you need.

Question is tricky sometimes to some people but to my understanding is, If you entered LEGALLY into the US you where inspected (that means you showed your passport, ID to an officer etc). If you just crossed the border illegally you wouldn't be inspected.

Just remember to file before the expiration of your Greencard or you will face some real problems.
