No Title Dear Ajith, I am really sorry if I said something wrong but my husband and I got approved with our Indian Consulate birth certificates. I think like someone mentioned it depends on the officer involved and maybe on individual basis.- Sue Kumar

No Title Birth certificate from Indian consulate is fine although sometimes they prefer some document from your home country as proof.- Sue Kumar
