I did not go through this process, sent my Indian PP with OCI application on 10/10 and got OCI and cancelled Indian PP in mail on 11/9 :D

I mailed my application to SFO on 10/10 and received my OCI card and passports with U visa on 11/9.

1.I used a Postal Money Order 2. I send all the US and INdian passport with my application. My OCI has been dispatched from Delhi on 10/26. Hopefully I will get it next week

Why spend extra $60 if you do not plan to travel for 4 to 6 weeks from the day you apply :D

To me it appears to be a simple choice. Get the citizenship for both you and your spouse. Say it takes a year from today, since your wife got GC 3 months after you did. Please note that the job you are getting is not the last job available to mankind. You can always find a better job, but...

I had my interview at Sacramento DO. I was NOT asked for SSN card. Hope this helps

Guys: It all started with H1B in 1999 and here we are today, completed our journey of US citizenship. We took oath in Sacramento this morning and applied for PP today. I wish good luck to all who are waiting. Cheers :D

During my N400 interview the IO asked me, why did I leave my sponsoring employer. I replied 'Better career opportunity' she accepted the answer and did not grill me further. Additionally she asked for how long (total # yrs) did I work for the sponsoring employer. My answer was 5 years. Hope...
