Has anybody returned to their COP after being a US Citizen? Can you please share your experiences when you came back to the States ( At the Airport)? I am thinking of visiting my COP and want to know what people's experiences at the airport were.

Thanks to you Cafeconleche and the others who responded. based on what you guys have said it should not be a problem to visit the COP now. Can anyone refer me to something that sets this out in any kind of immigration manual or something like that so that I can feel totally safe?

Ead Hey Jamaican Brother, Just a question - Did you apply for an EAD? When I read the notice it seems the reply is to your application for an EAD and not necessarily about your asylum. Also you did your interview in July but when did you send in the initial asylum application?

Recently I traveled for the first time on the green card only and upon my return to the US the immigration officer was reading away on the screen and swiping my card all over the place . the whole process took about 20 minutes. Is that normal or should I do a FOIA to see what is in my file?

Has anyone travelled to Canada using an RTD and a Green card? What was the experience like at the border? Do you need both RTD and Greencard to enter Canada and return to the US especially if you are going by land?

I do not remember sending in any pictures for the RTD. I think that they take the picture and your finger print and signature at the center. You might need to send pictures for the Gc. I cant speak for the EAd because I never filed for one.

Yes I filed both the RTD and the GC at the same office and then they sent the RTD to another office to be processed but I did it before the lock box system started. As for EAD, I never filed for one so I am not sure if you can file for all three together. What I know is that I filed the RTD...

GC & RTD together I filed for both RTD and GC together. I sent them in the same envelope to one office. I got NOA f or both and then later I got another NOA when they transfered the RTD to the other office.
