I got the TN extension by going to the POE for 3 years. Was a bit apprehensive becoz of the 140 stuff, but no one asked. Took 45 mins to get the whole process wrapped up.

I am planning to renew at POE in early Dec. However current TN is till Jan 10th. When renew do I first surrender TN at Canadian official OR just take it back to the POE TN officer ?

Would suggest that you send copy of all transcripts also. BTW does your employment letter mention any "end" date ?
