    Advice on EB5

Whether one invests directly (by starting or buying a business) or invests through a Regional Center, proof of the source of funds (500 or 1000K) is a critical requirement. However, if one invests in aRegional Center, the other requirements are just basic - age proof, marriage proof (if you are...

    Experience with Police clearance

The requirement of the applicant to be present is a standard practice. In fact in Mumbai, the applicant's presence is demanded while applying for PCC as well as collecting the passport. One suggestion is that you could try and meet up with the Regional Passport Officer himself and explain your...

    Advice on EB5

There are many Regional Centers spread across the USA. USCIS has recently released the updated list (You can get the link from a thread that I had started on 2nd January on this forum). The centers have varied businesses. Choose one that you are comfortable with. If any rep from a Regional...

    EB5 investment visa.

I have given the list of regional centers under a separate thread by that name. In any case, it is http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=d765ee0f4c014210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=facb83453d4a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD

    EB5 investment visa.

Hi JiKi, Opticoco and others To obtain a GC thru EB5 route, the first step is to locate either a business opportunity or, in case you do not wish to start one yourself, look for a USCIS approved Regional Center. (Incidentally, I have given the updated list on another thread). Go thru each of...

Intersted in EB5 visa, need advice

Any EB5 idea needs investment in a venture: that means, there is always a risk of losing a part or whole of the money. To my knowledge, there is no restriction in the kind of business. Hence you could invest $1Mio ($500K if the clinic is located in an area that has high unemployment - defined as...

    Birth Certificate for my father

Most governments will issue a Non Availability of Birth Certificate (NABC). Since your father migrated to Pakistan, that govt. should issue the NABC. If you are in USA, you could also approach the Pakistan Consulate for assistance. An alternative usually accepted by USCIS is an affidavit. You...

EB5 has been extended thru 2012? Link

The rules governing EB5 petitions are fairly simple but the scrutiny is exceptionally stringent. You would be best advised to consult a good attorney who has specialized in EB5 cases, the emphasis is that the attorney must have substantial experience in EB5. Please do not take chances!

How to start the EB5 process

Starting the EB5 Process While a good lawyer (experienced in EB5 petitions) is very useful and perhaps necessary, your first step is to locate an investment. Either you must start a business or alternatively invest in a US Government approved Regional center. There are many Centers spread...

    EB5 and Regional Centers

There seems to be confusion among forum members on EB5 and its extension. As far as I know, EB5 category which requires an investment of $1,000,000 ($500,000 in relatively high unemployment areas) is a continuing one. Under this, 10000 Green Cards are available for approval. Within the 10000...

how many kinds of business visa?

I do not know which is better: Australia or the USA. One has a small market but less competition while USA is a large market with intense competitors. As for EB5, the basic need is to invest $1Mio ($500K if the business is in a under employed area) and with a minimum of 10 employees full time...

    Replacing GC with mistake

Thanks for the response. We have since heard from the USCIS acknowledging the papers (I had sent on 9th June and they replied late August). We had filed our DS230 correctly. Yes, we had gone through consular processing and our passports had been duly stamped. Now we are keeping our fingers...

    borrowing money for EB5

I will answer the question in reverse order. 2. As long as you get your funds from a bank (with your father's collateral), the USCIS will not be bothered about your grandfather's property records. 1. The more important question is about the loan. Technically, there is no bar on borrowed funds...

    the cost for eb5 program

The expense estimate quoted by various Regional Centers (that manage that offer EB5 investment schemes) charge anything between 35K and 60K. To that extent, the quote you received is normal.

    Police Certificate from India

    Pooling money for Eb-5??

Each investment (550K or 1000K, depending on the project) will make only one person (and his/her spouse) eligible for the temporary green card. And if you are the applicant, you will have to show that the money is yours (gifts are permitted) and that your cousins do not have the right to recall it.
