i was allowed It depends from area to area, in my case i was assigned the local Police Station, and they told me I could come any working day before or after the designated date with no problem, however this was also in april of 2001, am not sure how lenient they r being now?

Suggestion If senators office not too helpful, contact local congressmans office. The all have assigned immigration liason officers who are supposed to help constituents with INS related matters. Call/fax/mail the person designated that is teh only way to get any info, calling INS/writing/or...

answer U shud expect a letter in your name soon too, if u dont get anything within 14 days of the avm date that letter was sent out u will need to call INS and ask them to re send, why is mail coming to u do u not have a lawyer handling mail?

ques for igotit Why do u need photographs for when u get it stamped on PP is it submitted to INS for plastic card or what? Did u have to take anything else at all?? is there a date that u have to go to get it stamped or can it be done any time during reg business hours? Thanx for ure input

RFE info My RFE was was verification of Licensure status in the US. As a physician I had already sent that stuff but they asked for it again, ie proof that I had cleared all licenscing exams.

RFE sent AD awaited RD 9/17/00 ND 10/5/00 RFE 10/23/01 RCVD RFE reply 11/9/01 AD awaited

RFE response sent avm updated RFE was rcvd by lawyer on oct 29th AVM reflects rcvd RFE on Nov 9th. Of note is the fact that the AVM never changed to tell me that RFE was mailed out, however it did change to acknowledge the receipt of the Response sent. Waiting to hear.
