can you continue to work if its been approved, but card is not in hand yet?

my wife also has the same problem... they denied both. I read on the 485 filing instructions that if you file EAD in conjuction with EAD, you do not need to pay fees for EAD. Someone please confirm this for me?

Ok, heres the issue... My wife and I have been married for over 2 years. We have not filed any forms thru our marriage because she had a pending I-485 thru her parents before we married. She is from Mexico, and moved to the US when she was 13. Anyway, we decided to wait and see what happened...
