I'm wondering how many months I have to wait before I get my EAD/AP if I'm currently working on the 'prevailing wage' stages of PERM. I heard it takes only 6 months. T or F?

I'm a TN holder doing the TN>GC route (EB2). When time comes for me to file for I-485/EAD/AP, I understand my wife should also file her own I-485/EAD/AP as well.
What qualifications does she need in order to file for I-485/EAD/AP concurrently with me? does all she needs is a valid TD or is...
Here's my understanding of TN>GC process (correct me if I'm wrong): :D
1) acquire TN
2) file PERM
3) file for I-140
4) if < 6 months left, acquire another TN
5) make sure priority date is current
6) file for I-485 + EAD + AP
7) if EAD does not arrive, go to InfoPass and get interim EAD...
