What category do you fall in ? EB1 or EB or EB3.
Is your i-140 approved ? I don't think you can change your employer if your i-485 is not pending for more than 180 days. There might be a change if your 140 got approved.

I think there is a way you can get out of this situation. If you look at the post

I don't know why people keep on saying 180 days. If his 140 doesn't get approved then there is nothing he can do. The 180 days rule is only for 485 if your 140 is approved.
I talked to my lawyer today, she said that
1) My wife can come here on H4 and she can apply for I-485 (using my priority date and when it becomes current). If after applying I-485 for my wife and my I-485 gets approved my wife is still legal to stay in USA.
