At JFK, they only asked him how long he stayed in Haiti, he replied 3 months...

    Very Interesting Case!!!

What I mean by "nothing to loose, everything to win" is that life is Hell in Haiti. Let's say they send him back, since he's been living there for the past twelve years, he will just go back and go about his business; and if he's lucky, the IO lets it slide, he will be able to fix his papers...

I also have no sympathy for those who abandon their permanent status and the worse thing is they always want to come back. When I think about all the people who would love to have a GC, this is an insult to them. Anyways, sometimes people make mistake.

Al Southner: Whether it's me or somebody else, I don't think that is your "business". That's why this place is called a forum. And, for your info, I am right here in the US.

Praeorian XI, Thanks for the info, but he already bought his ticket. Let's face it, he has nothing to loose, but everything to "win". If they send him back to Haiti, it's OK, at least he would have tried evrything possible. Life in itself is a "risk"...

He plans on saying that he's been out fo the US for only 4 months and that he lost his ID, and passport alltogether in Haiti. Anyways, do you think they have the date when he left the states on record?

    Very Interesting Case!!!

Hi Guys, I wanted to have your opinion on a specific case. I know someone who has had his green card around 1990, at that time the GC did not have an expiration date. He used to live in NY. For some personal reasons he left NY to go to Haiti around 1995 and never came back to the US . Now he...
