I received in the mail today my travel document/advance parole. The strange thing is, in the same envelope, I received 2 copies of the same travel document. So basically I received 2 copies.
Did anyone run into this, or is this normal ?
Neo, it seems to me, that how fast the application is processed, also depends on what district office you application goes to. Mine also went to the MSC office. On 4/13 I received the notice that my interview is on 5/28/09. My interview is almost exactly 3 months and 2 days after my application...

-A copy of your naturalization certificate or...

Hi, I am trying to file for a GC through my husband, who is a US born citizen.
I came in the US as a J-1 student in 1998 (2 year rule did not apply), changed to F-1 and then to H-1B(my current status).
My husband and I got married in December 2008. I...
If I was you, I would have your employer file the extension as soon as you are allowed to, do premium processing on it also so the new 797 will come in fast. Thank take that with you when you go in December. I would not just go and ask for a visa with only 2 months left on your status. I am not...
If your appointment is in Ottawa, you just need 100 USD cash. However, I have read that for indian citizens you might also have to pay a reciprocity fee of 50 USD cash. I read it somewhere in this forum. Even if they do not ask you to pay at the embassy, tell them you need to pay it. You might...
Any non-profit organizations are not limited to the quota and can get the approval anytime. This includes hospitals also. You do not have to be a doctor either, as long as you work for the hospital or the non-profit organization. Hope it helps.
Here is a link to a page I found under travel.state.gov on the Tech Alert List. Hope it helps.

Thanks in advance
I am not sure, but I read somewhere in another forum on this website that you can apply about 60 days before the existing stamping expires, so probably August should be fine. They just cancel your existing visa if not expired and issue another one.
I have heard that Ottawa is one of the...
vikram25,
Thank you for your posting.
I would appreciate if you could answer one more question,
Did the answer for "Have they filed for your GC?" question matter?

Do you have a typical muslim name ? What country are you from ? Do you know by any chance applicants from which countries they are doing administrative processing for ?

For Ottawa, Canada, you just need the 100 dollars in U.S. dollars in cash. Toronto is the only one in Canada that does not accept cash.
