Not required...However when you fill in the affidavit of support I-864 since you would not have filed taxes during those 5 years you will have to find a joint sponsor who has domicile in the US....- lekshmi

I am a US citizen and have filed IV petition for my husband. My doubt is regarding the Affidavit of Support. My husband is an Indian citizen ( does not have any US temporary visa ). Can I use the value of his Indian assets/ Bank balance to satisfy the income requirements. On page 9...- lekshmi
