USCIS Will attach the approved 140 to ur 485 application. 485 application has nothing to do with EB2 or EB3

This should not be a problem. You had a valid H1B and most importantly, you entered the country with an H1B stamp on your I94. You r good to go..

You should ask your wife to return back ASAP and file both of ur application's togather. I understand there are legal issues for Husband and Wife not filing the 485 together, it may trigger a doubt in the mind of USCIS.
