i got my 140 (EB2) approval from Vermont but my 131/765/485 were filed at NSC. So far no problems. Got my EAD a few weeks ago and my 131 was approved a few days ago. So i guess it can be done.

Take the appointment letter to the closest ASC. From all the posts i have read the ASCs are pretty good in such cases. I am sure they will take your cdoe 1 prints. so dotn waste go to the center and see what happens.

Take your FP notice to the closest ASC. they should be able to do your fingerprinting.

No you do not have to go to Nebraska. In fact no applicants are allowed to enter the 4 major processing centers. You will be sent a FP notice letter which will tell you which ASC to go to. This is usually decided by your zip code.

You will need a valid visa stamped in your passport. If you have a advance parole visa you should be good too. If you are in India, why not fly direct - New Delhi/Mumbai to JFK.
