so, did you got your oath letter yesterday?
that's fast.
i had the same interview date as yours, still waiting for my oath letter. officer told me takes about 4 weeks to get it.
also, interesting they changed oath from Campbell to San Jose DO. ;)
absolutely right !
your grandma will be forgiven for overstay as long as her daugher is the petitioner - immediate relative.
but never, never, never leave US !
about this "lawyer", must be smoking weed when he's talking.
luckily, you found this forum.
I-485 questions, please help ...
i'm sponsoring both my parents for their GC through AOS (they are currently in US),
i have a question on my father's I485 Part 3. B.
i put my mother's name here, and it is asking "Applying with you ?"
i.e. it is asking "whether my mother is applying GC with...
about I864EZ, you can take a look at my earlier post, also Anahit's reply.
i hope that will help.
sorry, i tried but can not copy and paste that post to here.
i had the similar question too.
good luck on your case.
thanks Carrot.
i read the I-130 instruction again:
Item 7. A -husband and wife: DO need G325A for both.
Item 7. F, G - mother and father, which is my case. do NOT need G325A.
i hope that's right. :)
whew...
sorry for asking this dumb question: when filing I-130, do you have to attach G325A of the petitioner?
i thought ONLY 485 need to attach G325A, and that is only for intended immigrant (or beneficary).
i am doing concurrent filing for my parents - immidiate relative, so i will send I-130...
thanks JJ for the answer.
i checked this forum and the last two oath ceremonies are 9/20, 10/18 (once
every month) and then they skip Nov. and Dec. until next Jan, 07.
since i have travel plan in Jan. 07, i need to do it by the end of the year if possible.
can anyone please clarify...
thanks, Anahit. you actually clear up some my doubts too. right now i'm sponsoring both my parents who are now in the US for their GC, through AOS.
i decided to use 864EZ, my answer to those three questions are all "yes".
the three conditions to use 864EZ are:
1). petition for family...
i assume you are talking about I-864 form?
now, there is a new 864EZ for I-130 cases, you might have to use that form instead of I-864.
the 864EZ is simpler and not as confusing as 864.
that's just my understanding.
anyone knows more about it, please correct me!
Congratulations JJ !
did you get the oath letter with Dec 20 date on it? i checked the Campbell website, the earliest one is on Jan 17, 2007.
maybe Dec 20 is in another place?
does anybody know how to find out that?
