Chat User : Does approval of an EAD mean that the chances of I-140 approval are high?
Attorney Mxxxxy : There is almost no connection with the EAD being approved and the I-140 approval. The two are not connected at all other than possibly...
Hello All,
I applied in EB1-EA category (concurrent 140 and 485) with premium processing 3-weeks ago. I received EAD card in mail today. The SRC receipt number when entered on uscis.gov says I-765 approved. Does this mean my greencard application has been approved? or I'm just getting unduly...
Hi Everybody,
I'm planning to apply for green card in EB1-EA category. I would really appreciate if experienced members could comment on my credentials and give their opinions.

It's not clear yet that for the cap cases the final number that will be entered in the system will be 119,193. The first sentence from today's press release clearly states that the counting of H-1B petitions received on April 2 and 3 continues. Granted the number won't jump significantly, but...

As of April 9, USCIS has determined that approximately 119,193 of the H-1B petitions received on April 2
and 3 are subject to the FY 2008 congressionally mandated cap.
USCIS received on April 2 and 3 a total of approximately 12,989 cases...

Right now I'm on an OPT. My univ. is going to file for my H1 this month. Once I get H1 status, can I immediately apply for greencard in EB-1/2 category or do I have to go back to home country and get H1 stamped in passport before I can apply for greencard. I hope you get my question.
