yeah you did the best with playing safe. But i dont think you will have any problem at the POE. If it is just for 10 months you can just enter with green card and passport you will not even need to show it and they will not even ask for re-entry. But as u said if you will have to stay longer...

Hey Cateyes, Thank you for the response. Appreciated. I am single. I dont mind paying for the fee but in the re-entry permission form it says only government related employees, American company employees and athlets..etc can get 2 year permission. Otherwise it is too hard to get 2 years...

Henry thank you for the response, but I know a lot of people they do the same. For instance, one of my close friend's parents when they get the permanent resident status through consular processing for the first few years they were just coming in and out after few years they moved the USA.
