Finally the saga is over. Today we received our ( 3 - me,wife and daughter) US passports stamped with U visa and also 3 OCI "passports". Now no more headaches going to US or India.....
I have updated my signature with latest dates. My FILES HAVE NOT BEEN mailed from New Delhi. My question is when should I mail my US passport to SFO consulate? Would they ask me via snail mail or what? I am going to India Jan 19 and would be back Feb 12 and I already have Indian visa on it.
No I dont get upset when US DOS charges ( they never asked me to include return envelope). Cos I know for sure I will get professional service from them. Eg: My wife applied for US passport ( non-expediated) and she was expected to receive it within 6 weeks. After 2 weeks we decide to expediate...
The lazy morons at the consulate are complete idiots...they keep changing the rules and dont notify anyone...Their FAQs are so lame...completely unprofessional.
Just checked my bank account and found that my check to DEPT OF STATE for $67 ( each passport ) has cleared today...Thats a good sign. But I dont see status of travel website..maybe like someone said the website tracking is not maintaned well.
nothing special...My wife who had oath at 12.30 pm was allowed to come tith me at 8 am .Our 2 yr old girl ( US citizen) was allowed to come with us inside..no questions asked..compared to size of crowd they managed it very efficiently..
do u know if I dont see my status or passport in my mailbox 2 weeks from the travel date, can I take appointment and go personally to passport office ?
On my wifes application we put nov 22 as travel date.....we need to get passport a few days before so that we can drive to SFO to get same day Indian visa. Does anyone if I can goto Wilshire passport office and ask them to process passport which was applied at post office?
We got naturalized on Ocvt 25 and applied for US passport same day at postoffice...It was regular application not expediated. My wife booked her ticket for India for Nov 22...after we get passport we will get a 6 month Indian visa at consulate..I know we had to hurry but I assume we get the...
Just back from oath ceremony..everything went smooth...They allowed my wife who was at 12.30 pm to come with me at 8 am...Daughter was also allowed to come with us. We applied for US passports at local postoffice an hour back.
