I revalidated my H1in St. Louis...
When my 485 was pending (I didn\'t take AP/EAD). If I remember correctly I didn\'t attach any copy of 485 in my documents.
But If you are revalidating outside country or travelling outside the country on H1, you might need 485 receipt ....

Need to carry EAD/485 receipt. Just in case carry all the previous documents as well....
Take a print out of the AP travel info from murthy.com

expected the copy either from lawyer or my courtesy copy, received none....planning to go India this Saturday. Probably I need to go with H1, then !!!.

I called several times to VSC INS, when my wife\'s H4 was pending for months and months... One IIO was very helpful, she told me that the case will be processed in a week and it got approved in a week. (This was an extreme case).

Heey, don\'t worry about "case not found". I saw so many cases went straight from case not found to case approved.
I spoke with IIO this morning ....
IIO said that they are processing cases Feb 2\'01 onwards. When I asked about my case she told me that it may take another 30 - 60 days, still not assigned to the officer.
Except one or two cases, I\'ven\'t seen many Feb approvals. Hope to see some...
Spoke with IIO for the first time this morning regarding the status of my case (RD: 02/21/01). She mentioned that currently VSC is processing cases starting from Feb 2 2001 onwards. It will take another 30 to 60 days to get to my case.
I don\'t see any problem getting H4 visa...
Go with the proper documentation for the H4, your spouse\'s employer letter, marriage photos etc.,....
I\'ve seen few cases like this before and they got the visa and moreover H4 is a dependent visa and INS should not reject as along as you have...
