I included the print out of the status page along with a cover letter with the file number. Even with that they didn't care to send me my old Indian passport......

In your case i am guessing that they need to clarify/update some...
the only difference is that your oath ceremony will be in the court. So oath schedule will depend on the court schedule....
Also this will be the easiest way to get the name changed I guess.
