I recently applied for Reentry Permit, but the confirmation letter that USCIS sent to me says: "On December 20, 2007, we received this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT" Same message about Travel Document appears when I look at my case online. Is this normal? I applied for RP, not RTD.

I got another LUD today

Well, I read this thread and remembered that my DL expires soon. So I went to local DMV today (I'm on Hawaii), showed them my California DL and original SSN card. No questions were asked. I failed a written test though and was asked to come back in a week.

Well, it doesn't look like having 2 LUDs in a row necessarily means an approval. You have 2 LUDs in 2 days too, but you don't have the Green Card yet. But I hope you are right, good luck to you too.

Another LUD today. Change of address seems to be helping, at least somebody is touching my case everyday.

Well, I got a new LUD today. Most likely it's because I changed my address recently. Maybe it will wake my IO up and he/she will finally approve my case. Let's see. The message is slightly different too: "Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed."

Got it too today. Doesn't mean anything as usual, just a scheduled update. I changed the address recently though.

Hey guys, My friend has been here in the US illegally for 8 years. Now he wants to apply for political asylum. His case is strong as much as I know. Does he have any chances to get it after 8 years?

I'm moving to Hawaii from California with my case pending at Texas SC. I have an option not to change my address untill I get the GC(my former landlord will take care of all mail that I get) or send USCIS my new address in Hawaii. My concern is that it may slow down the proccess even more...

No need for NP, RTD is enough. I used travel agency when applied for Russian visa. Use your RTD when entering Russia from the USA, use your NP for Belarus.
