I was trying to retrieve tax transcripts for the last 5 years from IRS, but I was notified that they only have the last 3 years information. Can I submit the copy of the return that I have or do I have to request actual copy of the return from IRS. Please advice.

I have the same question I received my green card May 02, 2001. After I received by green card, I was out of the country for 35 days. While calculating 5 years - 90 days, should I take into account the 35 days that I was not present in the USA.
