Just a word of caution of updating anything via the phone. I gave them my citizenship certificate number over the phone, and after like 3 months - they still could not tell me if my wife's file reflected that I was a citizen or not.
Do yourself a favor, send a copy to were you file...
First of all, thanks for your response. Secondly, you are correct, this was the Affidavit of Support form. They received this and the $380 processing fee from my wife. They are going to mail the DS-230 forms to my wife this week (why don't they mail the entire package - ie: all forms etc) all...
Hi - Currently received the AOS forms from NVC. My wife (outside of the USA) also sent in the payment for $380 and it was received by the NVC. My AOS documents are in good order as per the phone rep at the NVC.
My question - they said the DS230 form was just printed, and will be mailed to...
Ok - now I am totally confused. My online case status shows they just received my file Feb 6th, 2006 and my type of case is taking 990-999 days. I thought when they moved me to California for faster processing, they finally acknowledged that I was a US Citizen - why is it stating my I-130...
Hi - again, my wife is not in the USA, she is in Canada ... how and why would I file the I-1485? I am trying to get my wife into the country to live with me! Thanks.
I just checked my case status online using my SRC number. It is not telling me that on Feb 6th, 2006 (yes 2006!!) that my type of case takes between 990 and 999 days. This is crazy. First they move me to California for faster processing than this case status change online. Can someone please...
HELP!
- I-130 for wife as GC holder on April 2004.
- Became Citizen Sept 2005.
- Upgraded file, got notice file transfered to California for faster processing (online status showed this!)
- Checking status online (processing dates for I-130 for Cali) since Dec.
Decided to check my case...
Hi - On Dec 2005, I got a letter stating my I-130 was moved to the California processing center for faster processing. (I updated the I-130 to reflect that I am now a US Citizen).
Right now, they are processing Aug 2005 I-130 petition for spouse. My question is: how fast do these guys move...
Good news all. I just got a letter from them last week stating my file has been transferred to the California Service Center for faster processing. I wish they would have given a time limit - but nothing there. Cannot even use the processing schedule dates online as dont know which date I am...
I am not going to be canceling the original I-130. I called in, and said because my case is not being processed yet - no photocopies of anything has been requested. Their system does show that I called in with my Citizenship certificate number. They have that dated for Oct 5, 2005 - so they...
Hi, I got married in India (Baroda) when I was a G/C holder. Being a Canadian citizen, my wife was able to come to Canada (where she is right now). I live and work in the US - and just became a citizen.
If I apply for a K3 - will the interview come in India or in Canada for my wife? The...
As long as you did not stay outside of the country for more than 6 months, and did not spend more of your days overseas than in the USa in the last 5 years, you can apply 3 months before the 5 yr anniversary from your G/C issued date.
Brother, all I can tell you is get your Citizenship as quickly as you can. Apply the first day you are eligible. I am in the same boat, but got my citizenship. Now i'm having issues upgrading my wife's I-130 so reflect that now I am a citizen sponsoring my wife, and no longer a greencard...
I've filed for my wife in April 2004 as a G/C holder back then. On Sept 23rd I got my Citizenship certificate. Here is my time line - please advise how to proceed further: INS is not listening and/or cooperating with me in updating my file.
April 2004
- receipt date for my wife's I-130 (I...
