I found the following link that kind of addresses the security clearance issue, albeit from the Department of State standpoint.
http://careers.state.gov/officer/join/dualcitizen.html
The MHA website does use the term dual citizenship and in fact imposes a prerequisite that only citizens of countries allowing dual citizenship are eligible for OCI:
"The Constitution of India does not allow holding Indian citizenship and
citizenship of a foreign country simultaneously...
Does anybody know what the implications of being a dual citizen (USC and some other country in general and OCI in particular) on filing for and obtaining DOD security clearances?
I would also be interested in finding out if it has any adverse impact on ones ability to obtain and maintain...
It doesn't hurt to take them in case they ask for it. Normally they would not be required. And for sure, don't volunteer to show any additional documentation--including tax returns--unless you are asked for it.
We just submitted the passport application for my duaghter yesterday after we were naturalized. The USPS lady looked confused when she saw the birth certificate without a name and she showed it to her colleague. He said that at least it was in English and told her to accept it. Hopefully it...
You could also try your luck and show up earlier than the appointment date. In my case, I did show up a couple of weeks early and they accommodated me. I guess it would depend on how busy ther are on that particular day, but there are several postings on this forum recounting similar experiences...
Congrats bmako! Could you please elaborate on what time your appointment was, what time you showed up, how long you had to wait, etc.? My appointment is coming up on Feb 28.
Thanks.

BTW, did you make the change...
I forgot to include my maiden name on the N-400 application in the 'Other Names Used' section. How should I go about rectifying this omission. Is a simple letter stating the omission along with the maiden name to CIS sufficient or should I include an amended N-400 with the change highlighted...
Thanks
Thanks for the advice, guys. I will show up earlier than the appointment date and see what happens. BTW, is it better to go in the morning or afternoon? Also, any particular day of the week better others?
I just recieved by N-400 FP notice for the Alexandria, Northern Virginia ASC for Oct 18, but I will be on travel on that date. Please advise the best way to get it rescheduled. Some people had mentioned going in earlier than their scheduled appointment. How can one do that? Appreciate any help...
