It doesn't hurt to take them in case they ask for it. Normally they would not be required. And for sure, don't volunteer to show any additional documentation--including tax returns--unless you are asked for it.

You could also try your luck and show up earlier than the appointment date. In my case, I did show up a couple of weeks early and they accommodated me. I guess it would depend on how busy ther are on that particular day, but there are several postings on this forum recounting similar experiences...

Thanks. That's how I discovered the omission, becuase when I was filling out the form at the ASC for the FP, I listed my maiden name and then started wondering if I did list the maiden name on the N-400. When I went back and checked, I realized the omission. BTW, did you make the change...
