According to the October bulletin - the EB3 cutoff date is Aug 02. I see that your PD is Dec 02. did you ask the IO officer whether a visa number will be made available to you in October despite the retrogression?
Quick question
I had recently gotten an RFE (for skin test) which I replied to. The message online changed to "request for response received.... you should get a decision within 60 days".
Now is this a standard response - or do they really provide a decision within 60 days.
You should get the letter in 3-4 business days. No point calling really - the rep will not know and until and unless there is a legitimate reason to know right away they'll not transfer you to an immirgration officer.
Thanks Selvaraj - I recently got the same request. My 693 is incomplete because my doctor didnt do the skin test. I am now preparing to send back the RFE response with just the skin test results. Didnt know if I should redo the entire medical.
Medical - Incomplete
I got a notice from USCIS that my I693 (medical) is incomplete - did not include the skin test.
My first medical was done in Sept 2005. Does anybody know if I should send in a whole new medical test report - or just the old one with the skin test included?
Yes - I realize that. Initially he started giving me the usual blah blah blah.... but later on we started chatting about other things (I was calling internationally), and he said let me look into your file. After going through the case he let me know the details.
Actually I spoke to an IO in TSC a couple of days ago asking about my case - and he said that the case was ready for approval (name check completed) but they have depleted their visa numbers and I would have to wait till October and call then.
I don't know how reliable that information is --...
Was your first FP done 15 months ago? Usually this "document" that they talk about is a second FP notice. If you changed addresses after you applied for your 485 - sometimes they mail the notice to the old address (even though you changed your address with them). In such a case they resend the...
message change
Yes - just checked the online message - and it says "on XXXXX we sent you the new document based on an earlier approval of your case....".
I am currently traveling and have not been checking my mails - has anyone received the document that they are talking about?
Message change
I got a Biometrics appt notice last week - got that done.
Yesterday the message on my case status changed to:
On XXXXXXX [date] we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you...
Taps1 -
Yes, you can travel back to the US using your Advance Parole. I recently went to Europe for work and used my AP to return back to the States.
Pros - obviously you do not have to schedule an visa interview.
Cons - When you come back to the US, they need to check that you do have a...
Traveling on Advance Parole
I will be traveling this week on my Advance Parole (for work to Europe) for the first time.
I will be obviously carrying my EAD/ AP and my original 485 receipt notice. Does anyone know what other documents might be necessary?
BTW my second EAD got recently...
That's what I thought but the Q&A section in immigration-law says otherwise. That's why I am not sure what to believe:
Here is the excerpt from immigration-law:
Q 3(05-29-06): I am an Indian who studied and earned a MBA in Finance from the UCLA in California. I am currently working with a...
I think the way it currently stands, the 450,000 limit does not include the spouses and children, but the 650,000 does - they seem to be 2 different regulations.
I am, however, a little confused about the visa number cap applicability. Does the excemption apply to anybody who has a masters...
I-140 Approved - wow
Got an email last week saying my I-140 has been approved. Wasn't really expecting it as most of the 140 approvals were coming on the BEC cases with older priority dates (mine is a PERM case).
One more step done... now the long wait for I-485 starts.
Who knows...
