From his schedule it sounds like Bay Area. For many of my friends entire thing took less than 3 months. After all hoops with visas and GC I was pleasantly surprised with USCIS speed. Dude, you're in the wrong state. Just kidding. :P Good luck with your process.
Thanks! Good luck to you too! Yeh, I understand why it takes different time. Another little update. My wife's status was updated today saying "In queue for oath'. It took 8 days from her interview. Maybe useful for those who go through San Francisco interview process. If you don't get invitation...
Hi Guys!
Sorry, did not have time to track my progress here on the forum. Anyway, here's my brief update. We've mailed papers to Phoenix center on Feb 15th (02/15), did FP on 03/05. My wife had an interview today (04/25) in San Francisco. It went very well and it was surpassingly quick...
Just to be clear. I did not say that FP2 means that you're going to be approved soon. There were many cases (including mine) when it was a good sign after NC wait though. I can also speculate that FP2 may meen that case was preadjudicated and only thing that may hold it up is NC blackhole.
Cards received
I've received cards for me and my spouse yesterday. Kid's GC should be in mailbox today. End of my 7 yo journey. Guess, I'll see many of you here in 5 years in N-400 thread. :)
Happiness has not arrived with green plastic. But I definitely feel releived and confident in the...
No, I have not. Though I was going to do that in a month. My lawyer made an inquiry on my behalf back in January. Reply dated 02/27 said that my NC is still pending. On the same date they issued FP notice for my daughter and printout I saw at INFOPASS showed "NO RECORD" dated 03/01. It might be...
Thanks guys! This forum was really helpful to me for all those years.
As for kid's FP notice, it's definitely a good sign, however many people did FP for minors but are still in NC blackhole. My understanding is that they send FP for kids whenever they "preadjudicate" case. Some more info...
Approval
Hi All,
Just received love letters. For me, spouse and child:
> Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE
> OR TO ADJUST STATUS
> Current Status: Approval notice sent.
My 4yo has not done FP yet, but her case was approved anyway. I guess they don't...
Hi All,
I've changed address few weeks ago and submitted it right away on-line. Next day TSC sent FP notice to my daughter. As expected, it went to old address and was delivered to my new address so far. I believe Post Service will not forward it at all. My laywer received second copy and...
Politicians care for illegals because 99% of them are Latinos and Latino community is huge factor to be considered during president elections. Legal immigrants are lobbied by big business it needs them, i.e. us. Latter category is not a factor during elections. Who cares about our impact on...
No I did not do anything yet. I just had 2 INFOPASS'es: one 3 months ago and last one today. Also I asked my lawyer to make an inquiry which he did back in January. On Feb 27th they've responded. I would not be surpised if that inquiry triggered something within rusty USCIS mechanism. Because...
Some good news for me...
Had INFOPASS today and was confirmed that my NC is cleared on 03/01. I was lucky to talk to an officer who was friendly and cooperative. He gave me some info on how TSC will proceed from this point, showed me a print that incdicated NC clearance. So my case seems have...
No, you don't. The only difference between working on H1 and EAD is W2 form which collects dust in your HR. USCIS does not care wich document you used when started working at a particular company. That's why many big companies prefer to keep H1 alive while your GC process is pending. Just in...
EAD, AP and H1 are completely independent entities. You can for them separately. And you can still apply for H1 extension regardless use of EAD and AP. However they may not send you new I-94 with I-797 for H1b since last time you used AP and it's reflected in your last I-94 status. Though I've...
I second that. There's no point calling them until 40 days passed since the original inquiry. USCIS will basically send the same standard reply that it sends to customers, i.e. "sorry, blah-blah, your background check required to be completed... blah-blah". It may happen so that senator's office...
