    Has anyone tried this?

    Has anyone tried using the birth certificate given by Indian Consulates based on your passport? And what has their experience been, any RFEs? trying to avoid putting my folks through the grinder getting this document. PS: My lawyer has never tried this.

    I-140 Application- Birth certificate

    Indian consulates give a "Birth Certicate" based on your passport. Will this document suffice for the I-140 process? If anyone on these boards has tried to use this, please let me know if it worked. Would save us a lot of hassle.
