If this is true - the funny thing....is lot of people on this forum were assuming that their cases got approved without namecheck....that seems to be out of window now....
If the real story is that USCIS only approved 25,000 cases (12.5k dependents including) based on July Visa Bulletin.....I...
Definitely, looks like they approved - as pointed out by Shusterman.com - some applications on July 1.....They may all get Green Cards with July 1 as the starting date most likely!
Dude - do you remember in mid-June'05 when Jul 05 Bulletin when EB3 went Unavailable - did USCIS accept application for EB3 from from mid-June to end of June 05? YES
- Do you remember, when EB2/Ind went unavailable in mid-Jul 06 when EB2 went Unavailable - did USCIS accept application for EB3...
I am thinking - people from India/China/Mexico/Philly may be scared of revealing.....
looks at shusterman.com ....he is the only lawyer who confirmed getting dozen approvals....confirming the theory that July Visa Bulletin was effective for 1 second or 1 day in July!

Reversal Frustrates Green-Card Applicants
I know everybody is a bit paranoid about visas being suddenly gone....
I would say - don't worry - from news, all across the board, uscis admitted that 60k visas were available and that their backlog has less than 60k (counting only namecheck cleared cases)...i am betting dates will be...
Yep....It stands for approval Congrats....
Some people get "Card Ordered" email and "Card has been mailed" email next - as approval messages...
On the other hand, some get "485 has been approved, approval notice sent", "Card has been mailed" email strings...
looks, like you are EB2 and...
I would say - go for Infopass and check if they tell you "July Visa Number assigned" or "Currently under review"...looks like, bunch of folks are getting that message....
or call TSC and see if they tell you these messages...
That is probably the best hope for approval these days....unless...
Yep, I agree....don't be surprised if USCIS springs a surprise in the next 2-3 months....
This month, everybody thought that they approved 60K cases and that's how the bulletin went Unavailable....Now, we hear that USCIS did not do that, but instead just managed to run a count across all...
wait for tonight/tomorrow....usually when the reps say that it is approved...one usually gets an email the next day or so....of "Card Ordered" or "485 Approval notice sent" or "Approved message"
Check out this story on CNN - another namecheck sufferer heads to WOM Lawuit....to resolve namecheck and get his Citizenship,
http://www.cnn.com/2007/LIVING/07/05/bc.waitingforcitizenship.ap/index.html
USCIS never did anything for namechecks in all these years....even if federal courts...
Jackolantern,
I got stuck in namecheck for 1.5 years, before my 485 approval.......
and got sick of running around FBI / USCIS to make it clear...
I know USCIS has no jurisdiction on namechecks...only FBI does....Unless FBI clears the namechecks, USCIS cannot do anything...
Come on...

SILVER LINING ON THE JULY VISA BULLETIN
July 4, 2007
Believe...
I doubt very much....USCIS is gonna approve cases without namecheck clearance...
They may work with FBI to clear as many as possible....but I very much doubt if they can accomplish lot more on that front.......
It must be good news for namecheck stuck applicants....but sure ain't no free...
1. NO
2. YES

SILVER LINING ON THE JULY VISA BULLETIN
July 4, 2007
Believe it or not there is a silver lining to the July Visa Bulletin....
Today we received a dozen approvals for persons whose visa numbers became current on July 1st...
Dude, the big news this year....
- ROW is not using it's share of quota of 100K (out of 140K)...
- USCIS is trying to meet the 60K, resorted to illegal ways of pre-assigning visa numbers for cases with pending namecheck and little chance of 485 approval by Sep 2007 (Will they suck FBI's ass to...
I would say - just go for Infopass or try calling TSC/NSC using POJ Trick and check if your namecheck cleared?
I am guessing - if your namecheck cleared...the approval may be on the way soon!
