Another related question, for anyone that knows... the I-797, Notice of Action I received (in March 27, 2015) says that my conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year. Is this one year from the receipt date or one year from when my GC expired (in June 2015)?
Thanks newacct but using the CRI89 number is where I get:
"On March 27, 2015, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number WAC1512050366, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please...
I hope you got updates by now, but if not....
The times you describe are similar to mine. You can check on my timeline in my signature for specifics.
My biometrics appt was at the end of March, I got the notice for the interview at the beginning of May and the interview itself was at the...
Pending what other people that know better say, I would think that as soon as you get married you can file the I-130 since the instructions state you can file it a) for your spouse b) if you are a US citizen so by the time you are married both conditions apply.
I think the only difference in the...
Sorry, this may be explained somewhere that I haven't found (I tried different searches but couldn't find anything): as you can see on my timeline, I submitted form I-751 and received my biometrics appt date (already happened) and then a Request for Evidence stating that although we submitted...
That is 'more or less' the time it took for my appointment too -for the immigration office in San Diego.
I got my EAD/AP card a few days after the notice for the I-485 interview.
Good luck and hopefully you'll have your GC a few days after your interview! :)
Thanks, Jackolantern.
I had misplaced the notice and the documentation I had read didn't say anything about it but I just found the notice and read it and not only does it say my spouse has to go but it also states everything else I need to bring to the interview so I should be good to go.
Sorry, I tried searching but couldn't find any similar questions that had been posted before.
As the subject on my thread says: we filed I-130 and I-485 at the same time but the I-130 case status still shows as "initial review" whereas I did get the appointment notice for the AOS (for June 5)...
Hi adamkiaa. I think I've seen plenty of people that filed the I-131 form without a letter of explanation and were ok but for whatever reason I think the "filing model" (to call it something) I followed did have a simple letter and I thought it wouldn't hurt.
By the way, I have updated my...
e-notification received
Got 4 text messages and 4 emails yesterday (at 9 pm!) with 4 different receipt numbers, I assume one per form (as I filed).
Oddly enough, on form I-130 the e-notification form we sent was from my husband and he didn't receive any texts or emails, but I am happy: one...
Waiting is the hardest part
I always think of Tom Petty. :)
Ok. I guess I can use my thread to keep track of my timeline. I did mail my documents on the day that I posted, Friday February 22, and I got a Fedex confirmation of delivery on Monday February 25 to the Chicago lockbox.
I...
Hello. I have been browsing the forum for a while as I have been preparing my documents for filing.
I think I am ready so I figured I would post here what I am sending and see if anyone has any opinions or comments about it.
