my h1 will expire on 10/04

Yes, you meet the criteria for H1 extension. I think they allow premium processing of H-1 extensions too. I am not sure how long it takes if you don't do premium proc. Also, the H-1 extension is based on a pending LC , so if you switch jobs and your current employer is the one sponsoring the...

I don't think you can check the status of individual LC cases with MA SESA. The 788-0171 number is @ the DOL (useful once your LC gets there from SESA). I don't know how bronxboy got the info about status of the RIR cases...calling the lady at DOL??

OK, I am now able to retrieve my case info through DOL's automated phone system. Although the notice my lawyer got was that the app. was forwarded to DOL on Mar 9, The automated system says the receipt date is Mar 17th.

my h1 will expire on 10/04

Was your labor state application filed in Dec 2003? In that case, I am not sure if you can extend you H1 because the 7th year extension rule requires that the labor application (ie. the SESA RD) should've been filed at least 365 days prior to the expiry of the H1. If your application meets this...

    I140 approved today

Hopefully the approval trend will continue. I now remember that when I called USCIS (re: an earlier I-140 petition I'd filed) a year or so ago, they mentioned that VSC processes I-140 applications in batches. That theory may have some truth to it, given we saw a bunch of approvals in nov/dec...

Minesw, Just hang tight...I am sure you app is/will be forwarded to DOL soon. Also, some people have previously reported in this forum that they never heard from SESA/DOL about forwarding the application to DOL, and directly just heard about the approval. So, that is a possibility as well. My...

    I140 approved after 2 years....

High 5, Great to hear that your long ordeal is finally over (almost, there's still 485!)! I remember some of your justifiably frustrated posts... Boy, they just do things at their own time scale, USCIS... But for now, just bask in your new approval

DOL processing dates updated as of 3/15: http://www.immigration.com/processing-times/dol.html non-RIR has moved to 12/2003 and RIR to 1/2004. When's my turn, I wonder... (hopefully actual processing dates are more ahead?!) DesiG - I heard from my lawyer about DOL receiving my appl. I...

I just heard from my lawyer - apparently DOL received my application from SESA yesterday (March 9). I think those of you (non-RIR) who submitted rec. results in nov/dec can also expect that your apps are in DOL by now...you could call your lawyers to check, if you are anxious!. Hopefully it...

VSC processing time for EB2 and EB3

Yes, Jan 6,2003 is the date posted for LC based EB2 cases (NIW is still standing at Jun 26,2002)...beats me why EB2 cases are significantly slower than EB3. This topic has been discussed rigorously on these forums, and the conclusion is that approvals seem to be quite a random process...

Look up the processing times at: http://www.immigration.com/processing-times/sesa.html . I am not sure if actual proc. times in Maine SESA are different from that listed. Boston DOL is processing applications from nov/dec as you said, so they are in fact ahead of what is listed on the...

    I-140 Approval list in February,2004--(VSC)

rigas, some of these I-140s might be of the "Multi-national executives" or "Nurses" categories. As you can see on the USCIS processing time website, these cases are taking only a month or two for approval... Of course, this is assuming we actually assign some logic to the USCIS published...
