Now a days Canadian immigration can take upto 2 years (assuming you meet all the requirements), it took me one year when I applied in Nov 2003, after that there was a flood of new applicants.
As cnr states... just having Candian PR is not enough, you have to be prepared...
PD is usually found only on the 140 Approval, for some including me the PD was included in the First FP notice, but it was not the actual PD but the RD of my 140/485. I was kind of worried initally that the PD on my FP notice was my RD, but after my 140 approval the correct PD was printed on the...
Here is my guess..
The RD is important if your PD is current (or when it becomes current).
So I guess if your PD becomes current then all cases with a current PD and an RD earlier than yours will get processed/touched assuming all security checks are done.
just my 2 cents
If for any reason you get laidoff after you get the GC then it would be a good idea to keep all the necessary termination papers/documents that your employer gives you.
Some companies do offer a voluntary layoff option.
I wonder if that would still be treated as getting laidoff, anyone had...
Count me in
Count me in...details in the signature. Did biometrics on July 5th, LUD on 485 changed to 5th and then changed to 6th the next day and no more changes after that.
Hello All,
I had my fingerprinting (not Biometrics) done in Feb 05, but have not seen any LUD change for my 485 since then.
Has anyone seen any LUD change after the first finger-printing ?
Thanks.
My 140 was filed with a revoked 140 labor and when I looked at the online status for the revoked 140, it still says that 140 approved etc etc...
So I guess the online status does not always show that the 140 has been revoked.
Its my turn to say that my 140 was approved.
Mine was a case where a copy of labor cert was used, because a 140 was already filed and approved with the original labor. Since the guy before never filed 485 and left the company, the original 140 was revoked and a fresh 140/485 was applied for me.
Folks,
Here are few cases from Dec 29th, 30th and Jan 3rd, 4th.

It looks like there are many approvals..but sadly I havent seen even a LUD change on my case :(
Canadian immigration should in no way affect your GC processing. However a bit of caution is necessary when doing the landing, if you are lucky the Canadian Immigration officer will not ask any questions, but sometimes it might be necessary for you to do some convincing to show that you are...
Revoked 140 might not have any status change, although it might depend on case...in my case (where a revoked 140 was used), the original 140 still shows as approved even after NSC sent a revocation confirmation letter.
I will attempt to answer this question...but please get an opinion from a professional Attorney.
1> He would have to apply for an amendment to his H1 (about the location)
2> Labor application wont be valid for him anymore, becasue it is location and position based.
