the file from the...

Importance of the "Welcome Notice"...
I seek your apologies for this, what appears as, a nitpicky question:
Is is important to have the "Welcome Notice"?
My 485 was approved on 10/1/8. I have recieved my PR card (Last wednesday). But I have NOT recieved the "Welcome" or approval notice...
I don't know if this is unusual but...
I recieved the card. I am yet to recieve any approval or "welcome" notice.
No e-mails or online status update that they ordered the card production...
Not that I am complaining.
:)

mka,
mmed is right. If you need to travel - just travel. You have valid travel documents and that's that.
Have faith. With this post, I notice that you are very meticulous. So, I am certain that you did submit a complete and proper application package. Your NC is clear. What possible...
Thanks good dudes! I pray that may your wait be much shorter than mine.
Va_Lc,
Talk about bad timing and such...we bought our house last year. Dang it!
I travel fast where I should'nt and slow where I should.
:)
I hope they won't make me wait another 7 years before I actually get the...
(1) What does 'Unavailable' mean. Does that mean they are currently not even processing EB-3 application. There is no priority date ?? Then what will be the priority date when they _do_ start processing EB-3 ?
You can file I-140 as soon as you are ready, but you cannot file for I485/765/131...
Happy to share that my "race" to greencard ended today. On Mahatma Gandhi's birthday...random co-incidence.
The online status changed:
Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

You guys will get a kick out of this...
I learned thru the local senator's office that USCIS needs to know what my Priority Date is...
They can't figure it out on their own...so I am given to understand.
I promptly faxed the approved copy of my I-140 which had the PD mentioned in it...
Guys,
Here's how I did it...
After you have selected English and entered zip code etc..the webpage shows selectable options. You should select "You need information or other services" . After that it is self explanatory...
Hope this helps.
EB3 is a different category then EB2. Either your employer's lawyer misfiled the i-140 as EB2 or USCIS wrongly approved it as EB2.
USCIS seem to have rectified the problem. The fact that they "denied" an "approved" i-140 suggests that the mistake was with your employer's lawyer...
My 2 cents (perhaps even less):
Denied: Never was approved...some criteria not met like Ability to pay, qualification, etc.,
Cancelled: Was approved or is pending...but cancelled on the request of employer for reasons known to employer.
Revoked: Was approved...but later denied because...
I am sure that they have exceptions for pregnent women...USCIS is inefficient but they are not ruthless.
Maybe a note from your doctor and a visit to INFOPASS will present a solution to this problem.
And last but most importantly...may God bless you with a healthy and beautiful child. Best...
I-140 does NOT belong to you. It's upto employer to do what they want to with it.
If I were to DIE tommorrow. My employer can use the I-140 and give to a different employee.
So it what happens with your 485 (which belongs to you) does not influence 140. On the other hand what happens to...
