Most likely everything is all right and you are approved. Did he detach the I-94 card (if you had one)?

Newark FO has been one of the more satisfactory FOs for DV-2014. They definitely know the specifics of the DV process (which is a huge plus) and have been average or better than average in how long it takes them to schedule the interview. DV selectees assigned to Newark have not reported any...

Congrats, man!! I'm really happy for you. Enjoy your new status and put your GC to good use. Fight crime, rescue old lady in distress, save the world from the flood... Oh man! I don't know where I'm going with that! :) Really really happy for you!

Newark has been one of the more reliable FOs this year. They know what they're doing (not the rep you talked to tough). I say you should expect to receive your IL any day now. Proceed with the info pass and tell them exactly what you said here.

Last time I checked records of military service were not needed for AOS, regardless. You only need to answer yes/no questions properly.

Agreed. However they normally put an extra push towards the end of the fiscal year to make sure all the visa numbers are used. If there are left over visa numbers it'll look bad on them.

Is doing CP an option? The major concern is whether you'll become current. Other than that, I think you'll have enough time to finish the race.

Hi Mammad, Don't hold your package for the IRS transcripts. Make sure to send your package as soon as possible. In the meantime work on resolving the issue with the IRS. You can take the transcripts to the interview.

Changing from AOS to Consular Processing

I think you'll need to make your decision a lot earlier. If you wait until the visa bulletin showing you're current is released, you'll not benefit much from switching to cp. It'll take KCC some time to process your request to switch to CP before they can schedule your interview. And I'm sure...

    DV 2014 AOS Only

Aria, Employment based green card mostly doesn't entail an interview. Most people never face an interview officer and there's nobody to collect their I-94. Don't worry. Leave it in your passport and give it to the CBP officer at your first departure to prevent unlikely hassles at your...

It's called the diversity visa. They want people from all walks of life, as long as they are an adult, have a high school diploma and can support themselves.

Bramb90, What's your current status? Are you in school and pay tuition and at the same time have an employer? Are you employed by your school? Are you on CPT? Make sure you have not violated the terms of your status.
