Do they check your tax returns?

Hello all, So I'm getting ready to apply for citizenship and I see they want to know if you filed taxes every year since you became a resident. Is this just a checkbox "yes he filed his taxes, tick!" or do they go through it? Because my 2016 return looks a little hmm.. I guess my question...

For apartments it's better since you deal directly with the apartment management. Henderson and Summerlin both feel very sterile and artificial. Anyway send me a message here if you need some advice or want to meet up.

Bad news guys - if you are renting those apps don't really work. You'll email or call with little response. The real estate market doesn't work like Australia. You need to get a realtor who will then take you to the houses for rent. You'll probably need to pay$ them for showing you around...

Hey Mijoro, did you finally win? Congratulations! Good news - Vegas has no state income tax, everything is cheaper than California, rent is cheaper, houses are cheaper. Bad news - it's scorching hot. The heat is oppressive and unpleasant. Let me know before you do anything and I'll tell you...

Hi guys, DV lottery old-timer Guestgulkan here. How is OC going? Just a quick update for the regulars - I had a baby Gulkan last year, who is a US citizen while I'm still not. Sponsored him and he's already got his Aussie citizenship locked in. Still working from home in the beautiful city...

Just keep it cheap and get share a room from craigslist. It also helps with a social side of things since you can chat with your flatmate. I had a job offer before I'd left Australia by kinda pretending I was in the USA. Get a skype number and use a USA address then fly over for the interview!

Should have gotten a 28degrees Mastercard - no FX fees! I don't remember showing a proof of address at any of the banks where I opened an account. I've heard Wells Fargo is picky. Capital One is a good credit card because they have lots of bad credit options (that's us) , and their CCs have...

Print this out and use a yellow highlighter on this section: (d) A principal registrant born in a country that is among those for which DVs are available may derive a more favorable foreign state of chargeability from an accompanying alien spouse. For example, a principal applicant from a DV...

Congratulations. However you didn't put Argentina, you put Australia. Normally this is game-over for a DV application, however you've accidentally stumbled upon the little known technique of elective cross-changeability due to marriage. Since you are Australian your wife can use your...

The greencard of your spouse is identical with full rights (except the winner is "DV1" and spouse is "DV2" but it's just trivia really) Sponsoring your spouse after getting the greencard could take a looong time + $. Better to get married fast vegas-style then submit your DS260...

    1) Some people even pay it after they arrive however it's pretty important for ID and proof of legal status so most want it asap. 2) Alien registration card = greencard. Your sentence at the bottom changed the normal answer for this. It's a unique situation. 3) At POE the officer can change...

It may have changed, but the odds of an OC entrant getting selected were ~6%. Those are really good odds. Some regions are <1%.
