Yes, its not much, but its always something, especialy for immigrant with no english aptitudes,! Here the rent is cheaper than other states, and the card also are cheaper.... So for an immigrant it will be way easier

I had a very bad experience with the same story, because I got stuck in chicago, I had to stay in the hotels for three days, every time I checked in they asked me for a deposit or credit card or debit card, but because I didnt have any acc, I use to pay 50usd , until I got to hear that one hotel...

Update Dear cohort, I managed to rent a two bed room flat, bought two second hands cars, got two new phones (Android), got my place furnished, toys for the kids..... So for now im just still waiting for the ssn to arrive, because wherever you go they ask for it..... Hope you guys doing well
