Those are old forms New forms can be downloaded and there is no carbon copies for that.It is valid and INS accepts only new forms.

Ask the lawyer for track no Ask the lawyer to give track number of the packet and track it. If the checks are cashed by INS ,then it is the indication that your name is entered into the system. Any other method payment, wait for the receipt.
