Spoke last Friday I spoke to an IIO last Friday. At that time the case was not assigned and he told it may take a month or two to be assigned. May be I should try to get in touch with them again.

Lawyer said 6 - 8 Months Lawyer said it will take 6-8 months to get an interview from INS Chicago. Though the transfer notice says that it has been transfered for Speed Processing it infact takes looooooooonger time .... Chicago

Same here ! My wifes case has been transfered to INS Chicago on Feb 20, 2002. We have still not recieved the Transfer Letter. In about 6 - 8 months from now, INS Chicago will schedule an appointment for interview to look at the file and then make a decision on the case. I am not a lawyer...
