This is amazing, I got a response from the online system saying my I-140 was approved at 11 pm on 7/25, a few hours after my post. What is wierd is, my I-485 case got updated with the following kmessage "we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status...

Hi all, I have heard from my lawyer that if you are planning to get married shortly after the filing of i140 it is better to wait and file both i140 and i485 together. That way BCIS receives both the applications together and there is no confusion about mapping the 2 applications together...

U will need to have your passport stamped before you reenter at a Canadian consulate

A friend of mine whose case went to federal on Nov 1, 2002 received aprroval on Nov. 7, 2003 please update me your case...My case is filed on Nov 19, 2003 so you should know your status b4 me assuming all goes well. Good luck and please post asap.
